Oaxaca Vegetarian Cooking Class: what you’ll do
- Go to the cooking studio in Oaxaca Centro to meet your local chef (location sent after booking)
- Short tour of 2 neighborhoods, churches, and parks on the way to the market
- Go to the market to shop for ingredients
- Try some organic ingredients from local artisans and vendors
- Return to the cooking studio and start the Oaxaca vegetarian cooking class
- Learn from expert and local chefs
- Make a salad, cook a main course, and dessert
- Eat what you cooked and share it with the group!
Oaxaca Vegetarian Cooking Class availability and hours
This Oaxaca vegetarian cooking class runs once a day all week, except Sundays with two timelots:
- Morning: 10:30 Am – 3:00 PM
- Afternoon: 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM
This is a small group tour where you will join other travelers (7-12 per group). Customized and private tours are free to choose any time and date they prefer (up to 15 people).
What’s included?
- Food: eat what you cook
- Drinks: fresh water, flavored water
- Expert chefs and local guides
- Travel Concierge for the duration of your trip in Oaxaca City (up to 3 days)
What’s NOT included?
- Transportation to the meeting point [Open on Google Maps]
- Tip for the chefs (not required but encouraged)

There aren’t a lot of vegetarian cooking classes in Oaxaca so we are glad to have stumbled upon Mexico Insider. We didn’t expect that we’d tour some landmarks in Oaxaca as well so this was a plus!!
