A bad network is a curse for digital nomads. Now that you have mentioned it. I remember when I was in Puerto Escondido(I was not working remotely there), someone told me Puerto Escondido is notorious for bad Wi-Fi connections. Such a shame as it is a great beach town to spend quality time in. But the great news is your Co-working spaces list will definitely help the remote workers.

Forget about WiFi, I am so happy to find a new beautiful slice of Mexico called Puerto Escondido. I have read a lot about Sayulita and is a complete fan of that place. And I think this beautiful charming town has got my heart too. Not great for people who are too dependent on WiFi, but otherwise, it’s perfect. Thanks for bringing this lovely place to my attention.

I’ve always wanted to visit Puerto Escondido since I’ve read all your blogs about this place. But being a digital creator I need high-speed internet too to work on my content. It is good for travel but not stay purpose as the internet is our daily priorities. But to unwind or for digital detox purposes, this place could be heaven.

This is really informative. Although we do not have any plans to visit Puerto Escondido in the near future it certainly helps to understand while planning. With so much of our work and pleasure depending on the availability of internet these days, it definitely is a basic need now. It’s nice that you have recommended hotels where one wouldn’t face a problem in internet functioning. My choice would be to stay in Hotel Aqua Luna with the lovely views that I see.

The speed and quality of the Internet are crucial in remote work. But you are giving great tips on improving the job and what tasks you need for heavy download and upload speeds. It is also great to know what Internet providers are on the market, like Viasat or StarLink. Highly appreciate your accommodation recommendations with good wifi. Villa Mango Hostel sounds good.

I’m thinking you should go to Puerto Escondido to escape and unplug! After seeing your photos I can’t imagine why you need to do anything else as long as you’re just visiting! But good to know there are a few places where you can use the internet if you must.

Oh my God! Too bad Puerto Escondido’s wifi is miserable. Since doing Youtube uploads isn’t an option there, I guess I can’t move here but be a visitor just like you. Villa Mango hostel looks absolutely awesome plus the internet speed is great. As a big fan of coworking spaces, I’m happy to know that there are quite a few options of that as well there!

I really have come to expect high speed internet everywhere. I am always connected and need capacity and speed when I am travelling. Even more if I settled down in one spot for a length of time. I can then totally understand that the bad Puerto Escondido internet took that spot off your list of places to live permanently. Too bad the better internet providers are both more expensive and have a long wait time. Good to know at least some of the hotels have good internet.

I’ve aways wanted to visit Puerto Escondido since I’ve been to Oaxaca and wanted to unplug for a big. I’m sure it is a different situation for a digital nomad that needs to faster access and ability to do zoom and multi media functions which I’m sure is very challenging. But agree with you for pure fun and exploring the outdoors, beaches and casual vibe, this looks like the place to really unwind.
